At Public Consultation Centre Round 3, York Region presented draft alignments for each of the improvements shown in Alternative 8. These alignments represent the Region's initial ideas for each road. York Region is now looking for feedback on how to improve the alignments, and has made the alignments available electronically for viewing within Google Earth.
To view the alignments:
1) Download the KMZ file for each alignment and save the file to your hard drive:
2) Double-click the file(s) on your hard drive, which will launch Google Earth.
3) Use your mouse to view the alignments from different angles (for more information, view the Google Earth tutorial). Yellow lines represent lane divisions. Green lines represent the edge of pavement.
Note: you will need to install Google Earth before you can open these files. To download your free copy of Google Earth, click here.
